Noble-Eagle Industries, a member of Johnvents Group, has trained and empowered no fewer than 50 women of Ondo State with different skills as part of its community social responsibility (CSR).
BusinessDay reports that through its CSR tagged: “Project Nourish Africa,” Noble-Eagle trained the women in soap-making skills to drive entrepreneurship and economic independence.
Ademola Atolagbe, the Managing Director of Noble-Eagle Industries, explained that skills acquisition training was put in place to drive entrepreneurship and economic independence.
The trainee-women were taught through a series of interactive workshops, which covered critical areas such as soap-making techniques for bath, laundry, and liquid soaps, understanding chemical components and safety protocols in soap-making.
They were also trained in business management, skills for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), packaging, branding, and market-readiness.
Atolagbe further explained that “As part of Project Nourish Africa, the programme equips women with hands-on skills, business knowledge, and market readiness to contribute to Nigeria’s MSME sector.”
According to him, the initiative is designed to equip women with practical skills, enabling them to achieve financial independence, create sustainable businesses, and drive socio-economic development.
He disclosed that since Noble-Eagle Industries Limited, a FMCG, started Project Nourish Africa in 2023, it has focused on investing in communities, empowering individuals, and fostering economic opportunities that lead to lasting change.
Speaking at the workshop, Atolagbe said: “Our goal is to empower women in remote areas to become entrepreneurs, driving growth in Nigeria’s Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector.
“This programme is a step towards fostering a new generation of women entrepreneurs who are not only driving change within their families but also creating job opportunities and contributing to the larger MSME sector.
“We have started with 50 women and are committed to expanding this initiative in the future to reach even more women across Nigeria.”
Moreover, after the completion of the trainings, held in Owo, the participants were equipped with the essential tools to start off their businesses.
Atolagbe noted that “The Noble-Eagle Women’s Skills Initiative is laying the foundation for a more inclusive economy by providing women with the resources they need to thrive as entrepreneurs, thus contributing to the growth and diversification of Nigeria’s MSME sector.”
