Systems integration firm, Boch has partnered with ARCON to provide companies with a solution that will reduce cyber threat posed by people with access to key applications.

Announcing the partnership and a new product ARCOS, on Thursday, 27 March 2017, in Lagos, Chima Uzomba, chief executive officer of Boch noted that the biggest threat (about 70%) facing organisations come from insiders – members of staff and or people with close access to their systems.

ARCOS, according to the partners, provides a security blanket that sits on top of all Operating Systems and Databases.

“You can have disgruntled staff, or staff who has privileged access to your key applications and once the password or access is compromised that disrupts your business,” Uzomba said, “ARCON is trying to provide solutions that ensure insiders are properly checked and even if they have been checked ARCOS can also monitor what goes on.”

Using ARCOS, all IT administrators like System Administrators, Data Administrators, as well as Application Administrators are allowed to logon on to their authorized systems only by using a unique user-id and password and OTP (one time password) provided to them. Once logged in, view and modify access is provided on “need to know” and “need to do” basis.

Further, activities carried out are recorded and complete audit trails are maintained. ARCOS provides a secure umbrella around the data stored in various systems.

Some of the key features of ARCOS include single sign on. This offers ready connectors to administrators to connect to any allowed components without having to remember individual user-id and passwords.

ARCOS also features a password vault which generates strong and dynamic passwords and the engine can automatically change passwords for several devices or systems at one go. The passwords are then stored in a highly secured electronic vault.

It also provides a comprehensive audit trails and session recordings to ensure that all activities are tracked and these logs are encrypted and separately stored creating a legal hold.

Another feature is the ARCOS management console which support virtual grouping of users and resources thus providing a flexible architecture to allow management of multiple companies or multiple subsidiaries.

Dual factor, granular access control, one admin control, and live dashboard are other features that come with the solution. Companies can also have them customised given that the technology is entirely designed by ARCON.

Uzomba also pointed that pricing is very flexible. Hence, clients will not just be getting a quality product, but at the right price.
