Airtel Nigeria, a leading telecommunications service provider, has introduced an exciting trivia-based mega consumer promo geared towards rewarding its loyal customers with gifts and millions of naira over the next 90 days.

Tagged ‘SMS 4 Millions,’ the promo is a point-based interactive SMS system, where customers respond to questions to accumulate points and increase their chances of winning.

The promo, which will run for 90 days, is divided into two categories: ‘the Play for Free’ and the ‘Premium Trivia Game.’ The Play for Free offers a cash prize of N500,000 weekly, while the Premium Trivia (which costs N100 daily to participate), offers customers the opportunity to win smart devices daily and N3 million on a weekly basis for the duration of the promo.

Customers join the Play for Free zone when they send the keyword FREE to the short code 53370. Once activated, they will receive a series of general questions on their phones which they will provide answers to score points. After exhausting the daily free question capacity, customers are prompted to proceed to the Premium Trivia Game, which unlocks an unlimited number of questions and offers an opportunity of collecting additional points for higher value prizes.

To move from the lower tier to a higher one, customers would simply answer positively when invited during the game. The users with the most correct answers will have the highest chances of winning the big cash prize.

Announcing the promo, Maurice Newa, chief commercial officer, Airtel Nigeria, said the promo summarises Airtel’s brand promise of empowering Nigerians to realise their dreams and full potentials whilst also offering the platform for communicating with their families, friends and loved ones by providing the latest and most innovative mobile value offerings.
