The Civil Defence Officers’ Wives Association (CDOWA) has trained and distributed various starter packs to over 50 women in Enugu State as part of its contribution to the creation of employment opportunities and wealth among the women.
BusinessDay reports that the women were trained in various revenue-making skills, including production of perfume, air freshener, confectionery, bead-making, modern farming practices and agro-allied produce processing and marketing.
Josephine Willie, Chairperson of CDOWA Enugu State, on Sunday, while distributing the equipment and starter packs to the women after their training, said the empowerment would contribute in transforming the economic status of the families, especially wives of serving personnel.
