The CEO of Delphi Metals is a Nigerian owned jewellery maker, Awe Olutayo, has restated his commitment to creating jobs in Nigeria through Delphi Metals.
While elaborating on some of his efforts to give back to society, he said, “My first priority will be job creation. However, presently, I donate to orphanage homes from time to time. I am currently working on an initiative which, when concluded, would provide scholarships for at least 20 students each year.”
Awe, who has successfully grown Delphi Metals―a renowned jewellery sales and design company, known especially for rings and bridal ornaments―into a chain with a presence in Lagos, Abuja and Accra, Ghana, explained that “with such a philosophy, you will be driven to give your best at all times and to never give up even in the face of defeat.”

For someone in the Jewelry business, Awe Olutayo, CEO took his philosophy of life from an unlikely quarter. “I live my life by the philosophy of Muhammad Ali, which is, “impossible is nothing”,” he disclosed recently while answering questions thrown at him by journalists at a social event in Lagos.
Continuing, he said: “This same philosophy is embraced by many highly successful entrepreneurs, present and past, and also inventors and innovators.”
Speaking further, he said: “Anyone who desires to become a successful entrepreneur must have a fighting spirit because the road to entrepreneurial success is littered with failings, but a never-say-die spirit will keep you going. Hence, the need for a guiding philosophy. And in Ali’s, I found one that fits my aspiration.”
Olutayo also gave a firm viewpoint about philanthropy as an integral part of entrepreneurship. He said: “Philanthropy is a very big part of my existence. It is one of my motivations for putting in the hard work, to be able to give to the society and impact lives.”
