Digital Nomad Visas (DNVs) have emerged as a popular option for remote workers seeking short-term residency in foreign countries.
Currently, there are six Caribbean island nations that offer these digital visa program which a Nigerian can apply to.
With this visa, a Nigerian can live and work abroad while remaining employed by companies or operating businesses outside their host nation. It, however, restricts access to local employment opportunities.
The visa is typically valid for a limited period, with minimum income requirements.
While most visas accommodate family members, only a handful offer a route to permanent residency. Tax exemptions may be applicable, provided holders retain tax residency in their country of employment or self-employment.
