…Says attack is assault on Christian faith
The Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), has condemned in the strongest possible terms the recent terrorist attack on one of its branches in Eruku, Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The Church is a statement signed by Ojo Emmanuel Ademola, General Evangelist, Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Nigeria and Overseas, describing the attack as a barbaric and cowardly act of terrorism perpetrated against worshippers.
“This heinous attack, which claimed the lives of three innocent worshippers and led to the abduction of our pastor and several congregants, is an affront to humanity, an assault on faith, and a direct challenge to the peace and security of our nation.”

The Church also called on the Federal Government (FG) to ensure that the sanctity of worship centres across the country are preserved; while those who seek to terrorise communities are brought to justice without delay.
“We urge the Federal and State Governments to strengthen security architecture, deploy adequate personnel, and leverage technology-driven intelligence to forestall future attacks.
“We call upon all stakeholders—government authorities, security agencies, community leaders, and the entire body of Christ—to heighten vigilance and collaborate robustly in intelligence gathering and proactive security measures,” Ademola stated.
He, however, reaffirms the Church’s commitment to peace, unity, and resilience in the face of adversity: even as the CAC family mourn with the families of the departed and pray for the safe return of those abducted.
“Our hearts are heavy, but our resolve remains unshaken. Violence against worshippers is not only criminal but deeply sacrilegious, and it must be met with decisive action,” Ademola stated.

The clergyman also called on all stakeholders to collaborate, saying time for reactive measures are over. “We must act proactively to protect lives and uphold the freedom of worship guaranteed by our Constitution,” he stated.
Ademola also called for unity within the Body of Christ, as he called on Church leaders to set aside their denominational differences in ensuring the santity of worship centres.
“Let us unite in prayer and action, trusting God for divine intervention while working collectively to ensure that evil does not prevail over good.
“May the Lord comfort the bereaved, heal the wounded, and restore peace to Eruku and all affected communities,” Ademola stated.
