Muhammadu Buhari, Presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC has defeated Atiku Abubakar, the Presidential Candidate of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Ekiti with 219, 231 votes against 154, 032.
Abel- Idowu Olayinka, Vice Chancellor, University of Ibadan and Returning Officer for the Presidential election in Ekiti State who announced the results at the National Collation Centre, Abuja said 395, 741 voters were accredited for the Presidential election in Ekiti.
Idowu stated that total vote cast for the election was 393, 709, total valid vote cast, 318, 132 and rejected votes were 12, 577.
