Abdul Samad Rabiu, the chairman of BUA Group has promised the Super Eagles of Nigeria the sum of $500,000 if they go ahead to win their semi final game at the on going African Cup Of Nations (AFCON) against Morocco.
The billionaire philanthropist made the promise on Saturday after the Eagles’ 2-0 victory over The Foxes of Algeria.
‘Congratulations to our Super Eagles players on a brilliant victory against Algeria,” Rabiu wrote Inna statement on his X and Facebook social media platforms.
“You have lifted the spirit of the nation, and we proudly cheer you on as you prepare for the semi-finals.

“To encourage you, I pledge USD $500,000 to the players upon winning the semi-final, with an additional USD $50,000 for every goal scored.
“Should you go on to win the final, I further pledge USD $1,000,000, plus USD $100,000 for each goal scored in the final.”
He wished the players a continued success as they carry Nigeria forward.
Nigeria’s Super Eagles booked their place in the semi-finals of the 2025 AFCON after a convincing 2–0 victory over Algeria in Saturday’s quarter-final clash at the Grand Stade de Marrakech.
Galatasaray’s marksman Victor Osimhen broke the deadlock 85 seconds into the second half after a goalless but action-packed first half. Osimhen hit the back of the net after expertly heading Bruno Onyemaechi’s deep cross from the left down and back across goal for his fourth strike of the tournament.
Ten minutes later, Akor Adams doubled Nigeria’s advantage, rounding Algeria goalkeeper Luca Zidane with an assist from Osimhen following a slick attacking move.
The Super Eagles will face host Morocco in the semi-finals on Wednesday at the Stade Prince Moulay Abdellah in Rabat.
Morocco booked their place in the last four with a dominant victory over Cameroon on Friday night.
