An explosion rocked the Murtala Muhammad Square in Kaduna on Wednesday, killing several people. According to witnesses, the bomb was tossed off the back of a motorcycle at a Muslim cleric, Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, who was conducting Muslim prayers in the square.
The blast scattered debris and dead bodies on the Alkali Road in the city centre but missed Sheik Bauchi.
Sources claimed more than 15 people died in the explosion.
