Adamawa State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Jibrilla Bindow, has congratulated Muhammadu Buhari on his re-election for a second term as the president of Nigeria.
This is contained in a statement signed by his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Macauley Hunohashi, Wednesday.
Bindow said, Buhari’s success at the polls is a reflection of his good and visionary leadership in the last four years.
“You have led Nigeria and our party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) to an unprecedented height within fours years and in so doing, written the most important chapter of our democracy,” Bindow added.
He also urged Nigerians to remain calm and peaceful during this process of electioneering stressing that, “This election has further demonstrated that democracy has come to stay in Nigeria.”
The governor further commended the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, over the conduct of the poll, the security agencies and urged other candidates to take the outcome as a reflection of the yearnings of Nigerians.
