Skillicorn Nigeria Limited has emphasised that it remains transparency and commitment to community empowerment in sustainable projects it puts out.

This is also as the firm responded to a publication by the Foundation for Investigative Journalism (FIJ) regarding their Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Odogbolu Local Government in Ogun State, Nigeria. The company has clarified the legitimacy and national development value of the MoU, addressing concerns raised by the FIJ publication.

In a statement by the firm, contrary to the article by the FIJ publication, it stated that Skillicorn Nigeria Limited is a fully Nigerian-owned private company, registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in Abuja.

“The company is not a subsidiary or affiliate of any foreign company, contrary to claims made in the FIJ publication.”

The company’s management team, led by Retired Pilot (Captain) Adegbuyi and Retired Engineer Adeniji, has partnered with U.S.-based patent holder and global leader in sustainable biotechnology solutions, Paul William Skillicorn,” it stated.

“The claims linking our operations to a UK-based company that has initiated a voluntary strike-off are completely false and have no bearing on our legal structure, ownership, or operations.

“Our company is indigenous, conceived and led by Nigerian professionals, including Retired Pilot (Captain) Adegbuyi and Retired Engineer Adeniji, with technical partnership from Mr. Paul William Skillicorn, a respected U.S.-based patent holder and global leader in sustainable biotechnology solutions – a clean and green environment revolution with an energy system devoid of carbon emissions,” the company stated.

The MoU with Odogbolu Local Government

The firm noted that the MoU signed on July 22, 2025, between Skillicorn Nigeria Limited and Odogbolu Local Government aims to implement the New Circular Economy (NCE) project.

According to the company, the project promises to provide electricity, water, toilets, and kitchen gardens to residents without any cost. The company has stated that no public funds are involved in the execution of the MoU, and the entire project is being funded and implemented by Skillicorn Nigeria Limited.

“The Memorandum of Understanding signed on July 22, 2025, between Skillicorn Nigeria Limited and the Odogbolu Local Government was legal, transparent, and duly approved by the Ogun State Local Government Service Commission.

“All required due diligence and compliance reviews were carried out by the Legal Department of the Commission prior to its signing by the Executive Chairman of Odogbolu LGA.

We state categorically that:

• No public funds are involved in the execution of this MoU.

“The $21 million pilot phase valuation cited in media reports is an internal projection of service value, not a budget from government coffers.

“The entire project is being funded and implemented by Skillicorn Nigeria Limited, in line with social enterprise principles, with any financial benefits to be shared equitably with the local government and host communities,” the firm clarified.

The NCE initiative is expected to have a significant impact on the community, including:

Job Creation: About 200 new jobs will be created during the initial phase.

Clean Energy Generation: 28MW of distributed clean energy will be generated using proprietary hybrid systems.

Wastewater Management: Wastewater will be recycled into agricultural nutrients and organic food.

Community Benefits: 80 households in the Eyinwa community will gain free access to clean water, renewable electricity, toilets, and kitchen gardens.

Skillicorn Nigeria Limited has also emphasised its commitment to transparency, community empowerment, and long-term impact. The company has invited all well-meaning Nigerians, partners, and institutions to join them in making rural prosperity a reality.
