The Bauchi State Gung Zaar of Zaar Chiefdom, retired brigadier general Marcus Koko Yake, has cautioned youths against inappropriate use of social media.
The monarch gave the warning when he received the delegation from the Bogoro Local Government Area of the State, held at his Tafawa-Balewa palace.
He said that his reign will be anchored in the principle of justice, equity and fairness without paying attention to tribal, ethnic and religious colouration.

He further said that the habitual indiscriminate use of social media by the youth, urging them to shun away from it.
The monarch appeals to members of the public to be wary of taking the law into their own hands and to avoid any act capable of undermining the chiefdom.
He calls on all Zaar sons and daughters at home or in diaspora to unite and fight the common enemy of poverty and social vices confronting the chiefdom for years.
While expressing gratitude to Governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir of the State for actualising the Emirates and Chiefdom in the state, which marked a new era in the history of Bauchi State.
The monarch, however, assured minority groups in the area that he would run an open-door policy to allow them meaningful contributions to the prosperity of the chiefdom.

On his part, the Bogoro local government Chairman, Yakubu Lawi Sumi, said they were in the monarch’s palace to congratulate him and to extend the council’s gratitude to Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, who graciously approved the establishment of the Zaar Chiefdom.
The council boss, Sumi, reiterated his administration’s determination to work with the Zaar Chiefdom for the common good of all.
He urged people to continue praying for peace in Bauchi State, Nigeria and the whole world to live peacefully with one another.
