In recognition of the contribution of lawyers to the socio-economic development of the country, Legal Blitz Limited will honour distinguished legal persons at the Nigerian Legal Awards schedule to hold in Lagos.
Fashola Lere, CEO, Legal Blitz Limited, and publisher of the ESQ Legal Practice Magazine, says the awards slated for September 18, represents an opportunity to recognise, honour, and celebrate the contributions of lawyers to the development of businesses in the country.
Lere observes that Nigerian lawyers are performing creditably well despite the general economic challenges in the country.
According to him, “We would be honouring Tunde Ayeni with the ‘Business Icon of the Year’ award. Since he was appointed chairman of Skye Bank, a lot of developmental strides are being recorded.”
Fidelis Odita is Nigeria’s pride, I must say; he is respected both in Nigeria and the United Kingdom, and in fact he is a Queen’s Counsel, British equivalent of the Senior Advocate of Nigeria.
He will be honoured with ‘Lifetime Achievement’ award. Folake Sholanke will also be honoured with the Lifetime Achievement.
He says further that they will also recognise and honour Wole Olanipekun as an icon and exemplary lawyer. Yusuf Ali is one who does not tie success to geography or background, but has shown that success is determined above all else by integrity, responsibility and professionalism.”
