Clubs in Lekki, Lagos, have generally broken new grounds since 2012, ensuring that for the first time, club goers in the area do not need to drive all the way to have fun and relieve themselves of the more expensive Victoria Island clubs. Before the arrival of The Place Restaurant & Bar in Lekki Phase 1 in August 2012, some other joints held sway. The Place has since played its way into the hearts of
fun lovers in Lekki and its environs. The Place operates as hotel, bar & restaurant and night club. The rapid rise of The Place and its apparent success within a short period despite the stifling competition at late night businesses shows the pleasurable impact it is having on its customers. The building that houses The Place Bar & Restaurant is magnificent in both outside and inside; very inviting and appealing strongly to roving eyes. The restaurant is located on the grand floor while the bar is on the first floor with transparent glass that allows customers clear view of happenings outside, but shielding noise interference.
Add to that, is the risky but successful decision to cut the prices of drinks in the bar. A bottle of Champaign goes for N15, 000 against the N20, 000 its rivals charge. A bottle of Belvedere Vodka also goes for N15, 000, N3000 to N5, 000 less than it is sold in rival bars. The DJ is also very intuitive using the pulse of the crowd to gauge what he plays. At The Place, expect no dull moment!
Located at Plot 3b, Block A10 (beside Fun Factory) on Admiralty Way, Lekki Phase 1, The Place seems to be setting the tempo in nightlife leisure in the area. No matter what your taste is, the night entertainment specialist guarantees its customers first class treat. The numerous customers that gather every night at The Place (particular Weekend) is a testimony of its wonderment! Long queue of cars of different kinds are usually seen at The Place every weekend like a nation having serious fuel crisis!
More breakfasts options like waffles and pancakes, offering more African delicacies and their best buyer –‘Asun’, Continental dishes to top it all up sauces and others. It is Islanders one stop for food, drinks, desserts, hang out and many more. All food and drinks are at affordable prices; no Lekki extra pricing!
Another thing working very well for The Place is its location. It is very close to the Lekki Phase 1 main gate by Admiralty Way. The Place also takes seriously the training and retraining of its attendants. This is evidence in their association with customers. Management said the customers are given maximum respect and treatment. The staff of both the bar and restaurant are adequately supervised from time to time in order to fully serve the customers in the best promising manner.
Though, talking business in The Place air-conditioned bar with complimentary Wifi services is allowed, it is however, a place for fun with total abandonment. It is not primarily for business-minded fellows who want to discus business without distraction. Business discussion without distraction could only take place at The Place during early hours. The Place is not discriminatory, as it welcomes people of all colours and races. It is a hideaway for Nollywood and Nigerian music celebrity. Stars like P-Square and Funke Akindele are some of the stars who use The Place as venue to celebrate their birthdays and other memorable events.
