ARB Music Band will present “More Love More Melody,” a concert celebrating African art, on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at the Alliance Française Mike Adenuga Centre in Ikoyi, Lagos. The event starts at 6 p.m. and features music, spoken word, dance, and poetry.
Band leader Anthony Osunde, known as Dr T, said the show highlights love through melody and rhythm. It includes performances by ARB Music Band, the ARB collective, and singer Yinka Davies. Genres on display are Afrobeat, Afrobeats, Afrosoul, rock, and R&B.
Sponsors include Smirnoff Ice, Gala, Swan, CNM Essentials, CNM Spectra, and Rapid Vigil Security. Partners are Q21, BusinessDay Media, and Alliance Française. ARB has worked with Q21 on gigs, including the annual Alte Music Festival. BusinessDay has booked the band for corporate events. Alliance Française provided space for events like lead singer Odenose’s show in 2024.
ARB Music Band, short for Alter-Reflective Beats, was formed in 2018. The group blends alternative styles with social themes in lyrics. They have built a record of live shows in Lagos.
In December 2023, ARB performed at Flytime Fest for the first time, sharing the stage with acts like Seyi Vibez during the Coca-Cola Rhythm Unplugged segment. The four-day event at Eko Hotels drew thousands for music and culture. ARB returned in December 2024, marking their second year. Their set included soulful tracks that fit the festival’s mix of Afrobeats and R&B.
Earlier in 2025, ARB competed in Make Music Lagos’ Battle of the Bands. On May 10, they advanced as finalists with a performance featuring vocalist Lamisingz and newcomer Leez. The group reached the finale on July 12 at Alliance Française, where they delivered a set of original songs, taking the second-place spot.
These appearances have expanded ARB’s reach. Flytime Fest connected them to international artists, while Make Music Lagos highlighted their band dynamics. Dr T noted the event’s role in fostering community. “We use music to reflect African stories,” he said.
Tickets cost N10,000 for regular entry and N8,000 for students. Attendees can scan QR codes on promotional materials to purchase. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
