African Product Marketing Pioneers (APMP), a professional organisation with members across Africa, has released its 2025 Top 20 Marketing Leaders in Africa, recognising professionals whose work has influenced technology, fintech, SaaS and online business growth across the continent.
The index focuses on marketing leaders whose roles centre on strategy, market entry, product adoption and business growth. APMP said the list aims to recognise individuals whose work affects organisational direction, revenue outcomes and user growth across multiple markets.
According to APMP, the 2025 cohort was selected through a structured process built around nomination, review and benchmarking. The process began with the identification of marketing professionals in leadership roles within technology and finance-related companies operating in Africa. Each nominee underwent review by an independent committee that assessed scope of responsibility, contribution to market strategy, business results and influence within the sector.
APMP stated that the final stage involved comparison across peers working at similar company and market levels. Only twenty individuals were selected across the continent, reflecting the limited size of the index. The organisation said inclusion was based on leadership output and professional record, rather than visibility or length of career.
“The individuals recognised in this year’s index are operating at the very top of their field,” said Omolara Sanni, Convener of African Product Marketing Pioneers. “They are the marketers shaping strategy, driving adoption at scale, and influencing how African technology products compete globally.”
The 2025 honourees work across sectors that include payment infrastructure, embedded finance, software services and online platforms. Their organisations serve users in several African markets and support business activity through technology-led products.
APMP said the index is part of its wider effort to build a professional community for product and growth marketers in Africa, support knowledge sharing and document leadership practices within the industry. The organisation added that the annual list will continue to serve as a reference point for marketing leadership on the continent.
The honorees include Omolara Dada (Growth & Marketing Lead, Anchor), Ofon Emmanuel Sampson (Founder & Marketing Communications Leader, Femme Lead Africa), Hakeem Akiode (Head of Growth, Youverify), Zoe Motunrayo Ajiboye (Product Marketing Manager, Selar), Elizabeth Anuoluwapo Ogunseye (Digital Growth Lead, Sterling Bank), Bolaji Anifowose (Growth & Product Marketing Leader), Everest Nwagwu (Product Marketing Manager, Procode Technology, UK), Lade Falobi (Product Marketing Manager and Fractional PMM), Suzanna Prophecy Daniel (Head of Marketing & Communications, MyCover Genius), Adedamola Adeloye Samuel (Product Marketing Leader, Bank78), Ugo Nwankwere (Growth Marketing Leader and Builder), Salimon Toheeb (Product Marketing Manager), Bukayo Ewuoso (Head of Business, AdTech, Pisi), Israel Oladipupo Ogunseye (Digital Media Practitioners of Nigeria), Ebuka Chidube (Digital Marketing Leader, PiggyVest), Kadijat Okeowo (Product Growth and Lifecycle Marketing Manager), Precious O’Dahunsi (Product Growth Manager, Bumpa), and James Praise (Product and Growth Marketing Consultant, Marketing In Action).
Many of the selected leaders oversee continent-wide or multi-market go-to-market strategies, lead marketing functions at venture-backed and globally visible technology companies, and influence revenue growth, customer acquisition, and investor confidence at scale. Several honorees also contribute thought leadership that shapes professional practice beyond their organisations. APMP further noted that a number of the recognised leaders work within companies that have received significant international investment, accelerator backing, or major industry coverage, reinforcing the seniority and responsibility associated with the roles held by award recipients.
By formally recognising outstanding practitioners, APMP aims to establish a professional benchmark for marketing excellence across Africa while providing visibility to leaders whose work meets global standards of strategic impact.
