A Magistrate Court in Sagamu, Ogun State, has granted ₦5 million bail to Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, the driver involved in the fatal Lexus SUV crash that claimed the lives of two of Anthony Joshua’s close training staff.
The accident occurred on Monday along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway and resulted in the deaths of Sina Ghami and Kevin Latif Ayodele.

Kayode was arraigned before Chief Magistrate O.M. Somefun of the Sagamu Magisterial Division on a four-count charge.
According to a statement issued by the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, the charges arose from the manner in which the defendant allegedly drove the Lexus SUV, leading to the fatal accident.

Police accused Kayode of reckless driving, negligent driving, driving without due care and attention, and driving without a valid national driver’s licence.
After the charges were read, Chief Magistrate Somefun granted the defendant bail for ₦5 million, with two sureties, and ordered that he be remanded in custody pending the fulfilment of the bail conditions.
The trial has been formally adjourned to January 20, 2026.
