Anthony Joshua has reignited his long-running rivalry with Tyson Fury after knocking out YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul in Miami on Friday night.
The former world heavyweight champion showed why he remains one of boxing’s most feared punchers after dropping Jake Paul in the sixth round, rocking Paul with a right uppercut before flooring him with a punishing combination to end the contest.

It marked Anthony Joshua’s return to the ring for the first time since his defeat to Daniel Dubois in 2024. Although Anthony Joshua looked frustrated early on, swinging and missing with several shots, his class and power eventually told.
Moments after the stoppage, Anthony Joshua took the microphone and issued a direct challenge to long-time rival Tyson Fury.

“It wasn’t the best performance; it wasn’t the best,” Joshua admitted in his post-fight interview.
“We shake off the cobwebs, and I can’t wait to roll into 2026. And if Tyson Fury’s as serious as he thinks he is, and he wants to put down his Twitter fingers and put on some gloves and come and fight one of the realest fighters out there, someone who will take on any challenge, step in the ring with me next if you’re a real bad boy. Let’s see you in the ring and talk with your fists.”
While Anthony Joshua admitted it was not the best performance, the victory successfully clears the path for a potential British mega-fight.
With Fury currently on the sidelines following his 2024 losses to Oleksandr Usyk, the ball is now firmly in his court to respond to Anthony Joshua’s challenge.
