In an era where knowledge has become a key driver of economic and organisational growth, a researcher has emphasised the critical need for institutions and governments to align administrative processes with knowledge-driven strategies.
Obinna Iwueke, a researcher and member of the governing council of Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, Owerri, Imo State, emphasised that this alignment is not merely a managerial upgrade, but it is essential for enhancing competitiveness in today’s rapidly evolving global landscape.
Iwueze made this known in his keynote address at the Institute of Business Administration and Knowledge Management and the Chartered Institute of Business Administration and Knowledge Management’s 2025 Investiture and induction for new members, when tasked business administrators in Nigeria to integrate knowledge management practices as a strategic move to achieve sustainable growth and global competitiveness.
The renowned researcher, and a member of the governing council of Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, Owerri, Imo State, who spoke on a paper titled, ‘Integrating Business Administration and Knowledge Leadership for Sustainable Growth and Global Competitiveness’ at the 2025 Investiture, induction of the Institute of Business Administration and Knowledge Management and the Chartered Institute of Business Administration and Knowledge Management in Ogun State, said, “Integrating business administration and knowledge leadership approach not only redefines professional standards but also positions entities to thrive in a dynamic global landscape.”
According to him, Business administration provides the structural foundation for efficiency and accountability, while knowledge leadership drives innovation and adaptability.
Besides, he said that the integration of these two practices empowers organisations to navigate complexities, develop human capital, and contribute to national transformation.
“By addressing challenges and leveraging emerging technologies, organisations and nations can harness this synergy to achieve long-term success,” he noted.
Iwueke, a researcher in the Department of Business Administration and Management, said that in an era of rapid globalisation and technological disruption, organisations must integrate robust business administration with knowledge leadership as these disciplines create a synergistic approach that drives organisational success, national transformation and global market relevance.
“Globally, organisations that excel in this integration gain a competitive edge. By aligning administrative processes with knowledge-driven strategies, companies can enter new markets, engage in product innovation, and meet global standards,” he said.
