Nigeria and Rwanda are gearing up for the 2025 edition of the 100 Africans Leadership and Business Summit, scheduled to take place from July 4–6 at the Marriott Hotel in Kigali, in a move to strengthen diplomatic and economic collaboration between both countries.
Ahead of the gathering, Kingsley Amafibe, African Director of the summit and Project Director of 100 Most Notable Peace Icons Africa and Peace Ambassadors Agency, met with Christophe Bazivamo Rwandan Ambassador to Nigerian to that effect.
Organised by the Davdan Peace and Advocacy Foundation, the summit is expected to bring together over a thousand delegates from across the continent, including government officials, business leaders, and development advocates to deliberate on Africa’s economic transformation, investment prospects, governance reforms, and sustainable development goals.
Bazivamo welcomed the initiative and expressed gratitude to the organisers for choosing Kigali as host city.
He described Rwanda’s capital as serene, welcoming, and well-positioned to host a summit of such continental importance.

According to him, the influx of delegates will provide a significant boost to the local economy, especially the hospitality sector and small businesses.
He further emphasised Rwanda’s commitment to promoting cross-border cooperation and knowledge exchange in critical sectors such as agriculture, education, and healthcare.
The summit also seeks to celebrate African excellence by honouring individuals and organisations making impactful contributions to the continent.
This year’s honourees include Egyptian football star Mohamed Salah, Africa’s richest man Aliko Dangote, Grammy-winning musician Burna Boy, business mogul Femi Otedola, and WTO Director-General Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, among others.
The 100 Most Notable Africans Leadership and Business Summit, according to Amafibe, will continue.to serve as a platform for fostering collaboration, honouring innovation and leadership, and amplifying Africa’s success stories to inspire future generations.
