Ebuka Ebuziem, Founder & Creative Director, prepares to spotlight Nigerian textiles as international leaders, investors, and cultural icons converge in Algiers
Lagos-based fashion label Adire Teems is set to take centre stage at the upcoming Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF2025) in Algiers, Algeria, where it will showcase the beauty of Nigerian prints and African-inspired design to a continental audience of policymakers, investors, and buyers.
Organised by Afreximbank in collaboration with the African Union Commission and The Africa Union Commission and African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat, the fair scheduled to hold September 4 – 10, will convene more than 2,000 exhibitors from across Africa and beyond, and is expected to generate over US$44 billion in trade and investment deals.

For Ebuka Ebuziem, founder and creative director of Adire Teems, the event offers a platform to position textiles as an engine for cultural and economic growth.
“Our mission has always been to celebrate and globalise African fashion,” Ebuziem said. At IATF2025, we want the world to see Nigerian prints as style pieces and cultural assets capable of driving growth across the continent.”
Adire Teems will debut its contemporary interpretation of Adire, the centuries-old Yoruba indigo-dyed textile at the fair, alongside collections influenced by cultural traditions from Ghana, Ivory Coast, Rwanda, Brazil, and the UAE. The brand’s showcase is expected to attract retailers, policymakers, and investors seeking authentic, scalable African fashion.
In addition to design innovation, Ebuziem brings industrial ambition through his role as Managing Director of EDEO Textile Ltd., a company with the goal of becoming the largest textile manufacturer in Africa. This dual leadership positions Adire Teems not only as a creative label but also as a bridge between artisan heritage and large-scale textile production.

“We see fashion as both identity and industry,” Ebuziem added. “By participating at IATF2025, we are opening doors for partnerships that place Nigerian textiles at the heart of Africa’s trade story under AfCFTA.”
As the continent looks to the AfCFTA to unlock intra-African trade, Adire Teems’ participation highlights the growing role of the creative sector in shaping Africa’s economic future. The brand’s presence in Algiers will spotlight how textiles and fashion can move from cultural expression to continental commerce.
