The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Abia has declared all offices in the 2019 general election open and contestable in line with the Abia Charter of Equity and PDP zoning formula.
Rising from State Working Committee meeting in Umuahia, it passed a vote of confidence in Governor Okezie Ikpeazu based on his performance so far.

In a 7-paragraph communiqué, the SWC issued at the end of the meeting, it also passed a vote of confidence on the State Chairman, Johnson Onuigbo for transparency and effective leadership.
The committee said there would be a level-playing ground for all aspirants irrespective of position, pledging to do away with all manner of impositions and impunity.
It urged all the party members to remain loyal, steadfast and also have confidence in the party leadership.
