At the opening on June 12, 2014 at the fifth floor of the 352-room five-star hotel, Julius Aghahowa, ex international footballer, led other sports enthusiasts and fun lovers to savour the offerings of Ariya Terrace. For Aghahowa, who did not miss been in Brazil because of the live matches on the large screen, the new product meets the expectation of guests who cherish a little outdoor, networking and will thrive even after World Cup due to its uniqueness.

Although the Ariya Terrace opened during the 2014 FIFA World Cup, the hotel management noted that the offering is beyond World Cup. After the World Cup, Ariya Terrace, according to the hotel’s senior staff, would function more with DJs’, live bands that would entertain guests amidst refreshing wine and food menu on daily basis. The hotel hopes to bring major events across the world and in Nigeria to its large screen for guests to enjoy.
Explaining the rationale behind the new offering, the hotel management also noted that it was part of its effort at diversifying the offerings at the hotel and also offering sports lover and its guests opportunity to watch the World Cup in a most relax and memorable way.
