Benson Ojeikere, Head of Service, Abia State, has tasked civil servants to showcase professional expertise in their respective areas of responsibility.
Ojeikere threw the challenge following the on-going overhauling of the public service.
The HOS, while addressing civil servants, said that high-quality output was essential for building a personal hallmark of excellence.
He emphasized the importance of timely and accurate task completion, ensuring error-proof work.
The Abia number one worker maintained that civil servants could build their reputation by distinguishing themselves as reliable and competent professionals dedicated to serving the government and the public effectively.
He stressed the importance of accountability, quality service delivery, and directed the Bureau of Common Services, and Service Monitoring to assiduously monitor the implementation of government policies and programmes to ensure that the targets were met.
Ojeikere made it clear that sanitizing the service was a task that must be accomplished, and also called on the workforce to join hands in transforming the civil service into a beacon of efficiency and public trust.
