…As sound gets prophetic recognition at TAPE 2025
House On The Rock is set to place ‘No Turning Back’ an Afro-fusion gospel song by Gaise Baba on the global stage in the coming months.
This is coming following a strategic partnership with the artist announced by Paul Adefarasin, the Metropolitan Senior Pastor of the church during The African Praise Experience (TAPE 2025). According to Adefarasin, the church will convene world-class producers and engineers to craft a global release aimed at the highest platforms, including the Grammys.
He also hinted at a special return performance on an upcoming Sunday and spoke of a cinematic music project to debut ahead of The Experience Lagos 2025.
“I believe in Gaise Baba’s theology and mission. Through his voice we will declare: We will not leave Nigeria the way we met it,” Adefarasin stated.
TAPE is an annual all-night worship event that brings together some of the most powerful voices in gospel music across Africa, which is held every year at The Rock Cathedral to promote indigenous gospel excellence and Spirit-breathed unity.
Convened by Paul Adefarasin, founder, House On The Rock and convener of ‘The Experience’, TAPE is an expression of Africa’s deep love for God through music and the arts. Over the years, it has grown into one of the church’s most anticipated worship gatherings, featuring top gospel ministers from Nigeria and around the world.
A defining moment came at this year’s TAPE when gospel-culture artist Gaise Baba led worshippers in a stirring rendition of his anthem ‘No Turning Back.’
Akinade Ibuoye, a Nigerian Afro-fusion artist popularly known by his stage name Gaise Baba, is renowned for his children-focused ministry and culturally resonant messaging sound, which struck a prophetic chord at TAPE 2025.
Following his performance at this year’s TAPE, Adefarasin honoured Gaise Baba publicly, calling the song “a message from heaven,” and lamented that today’s leaders have not yet passed on the Nigeria the next generation deserves.
“Our generation hasn’t left the next one, the Nigeria they deserve. But this sound—this message—can wake a nation,” Adefarasin stated.
