The Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion have disclosed that the newly elected clergymen who emerged as Bishops-elect and returning archbishops will be consecrated and presented to Church faithful on Tuesday September 16, 2025.
The consecration of the bishop-elects and presentation of the Archbishops-elect will be held at the standing committee meeting of the Church to be hosted in September by Ekiti Diocese in Ekiti State.
Henry Ndukuba, Primate, Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, made the disclosure during the recent Episcopal Synod held at Emmanuel Anglican Church, Nike Diocese, Iji-Nike, Enugu State.
Samuel Adekunle Ola Osungbeju, and Adebola Ojofeitimi, were both elected as the bishop-elect of Osun North-East diocese and Ilesa South West diocese, respectively.
While two current serving Archbishops were re-elected for a second term of five years. They are Cyril Odutemu of Bendel Province, and Marcus Ibrahim of Jos Province of the Anglican Church.
The Primate in a statement signed by Korede Akintunde, communication officer, announced the elections of two clergymen to fill the current vacant Sees of Osun North-East and Ilesa South-West.
He also urged Anglican faithful to pray and support the newly elected servants of God and their families as they go into their new places of assignment. This will be done after all the due processes, training and consecration are concluded.
Ndukuba also called on the newly elected bishops to pray and seek God’s face for direction, and for the power of God in their new roles.
