President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is scheduled to pay a condolence visit to the family of the Late businessman, and elder stateman, Aminu Dantata, in the commercial city of Kano, today.
The President will be received by Governor Abba Kabiru Yusuf, Malam Aminu Kano International Airport before proceeding to the residence of the late businessman in the Koki area of Kano metropolis.
The visit was confirmed in a statement released by the spokesperson to the Kano State Governor, Sanusi Bature.
President Tinubu’s visit follows the recent passing of Dantata, a respected business magnate whose life of service, philanthropy, and investment left a lasting impact across Nigeria, the statement said.

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf described the President’s visit as a symbol of national unity and a mark of deep respect for the people of Kano and the enduring legacy of the late Aminu Alhassan Dantata.
“This is a moment of solemn reflection and national respect. I urged all residents of Kano to welcome the President in our traditional spirit of hospitality, dignity, and honour”, governor stated.
The Governor assured the public that adequate security and logistical arrangements have been made to ensure a smooth and orderly visit.
Meanwhile, checks by BusinessDay at the residence of the Dantata, in Koki at about 9am, shows heavy presence of military and security operatives at the venue, as the President is been awaited.
