Obi was criticised by Reno Omokri, a Public affairs analyst and Social Media influencer, over his absence at the Tuesday burial ceremony that attracted people from across the world.
According to Omokri who wrote on his X handle, ” When Pope Francis died, Peter Obi, although not invited, entered a plane and travelled 5,600 kilometres to Rome and attempted to gatecrash the funeral until he was saved by President Tinubu.

“What message is Obi passing to Nigerians, especially Mutanen Arewa?”
