The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has fully restored its National Identification Number (NIN) verification services nationwide, following the successful conclusion of system upgrades.
In a statement issued on Friday by Kayode Adegoke, the commission’s spokesperson, announced that all services previously affected by technical maintenance have now been fully restored
“The NIMC is pleased to announce the completion of its scheduled system maintenance. All NIN-related services have resumed normal operations,” the announcement stated.
Nigerians looking to enroll for a NIN are encouraged to visit the Commission’s official website to find the nearest registration centers. For those needing to make updates such as name corrections or other data changes the self-service portal remains accessible.
The commission advised users to download the “NIMC NameAuth” app (available as oath.app) from both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store to verify and authenticate their NIN information.
NIMC also extended its gratitude to the public for their patience and cooperation during the recent service downtime.
It would be recalled that over the past week, banks, telecom providers, and various government institutions that depend on NIN verification services had encountered delays and disruptions due to the technical issues.
