At the recently concluded 2025 National Sports Festival in Ogun State, BetKing, under Ukanwoke’s strategic direction, took centre stage through an unwavering commitment to para-athletics.
The company became the official sponsor of all para-sport competitions, providing crucial funding for travel, specialised equipment, medical classification, comprehensive training support, and welfare for over 400 differently-abled athletes.
This significant effort provided Nigeria’s often-overlooked athletes with the vital opportunity not only to compete but also to be seen, celebrated, and genuinely empowered.
“Our sponsorship of para-sports at the National Sports Festival reflects our deeper responsibility to support the overlooked,” Ukanwoke stated.
“We believe every athlete, regardless of physical ability, deserves a platform to compete, grow, and inspire. This is not charity. It’s equity.”
The firm adopted three national para-athletes: Nwachukwu Goodness, Temitope Hassan, and Promise Emeka.
The company committed to providing consistent monthly stipends, housing, essential training equipment, and regular coaching sessions.
Since this adoption, these athletes have gone on to win multiple medals and break world records, serving as powerful testaments to the fact that talent thrives where genuine opportunity is provided.
This distinctive model of deliberate investment and nurturing, extending beyond mere sponsorship, has become a defining characteristic of Ukanwoke’s leadership.
Through sustained initiatives such as the annual Wheelchair Basketball Championship, the establishment of adaptive sports clinics, vital infrastructure support, and dedicated athlete mentorship programs, he is spearheading a quiet revolution in Nigerian sports, consistently placing people at the very centre of performance.
From the sponsorship of para-athletics in Delta State in 2022 to the comprehensive support in Ogun State in 2025, Ukanwoke has consistently ensured that the inclusion of differently-abled athletes is not an exception but a firmly established standard.
These profound investments are not just changing individual lives; they are actively rewriting the future of sports in Nigeria.
The support helped Nigeria’s para-athletes stand proudly atop podiums, medals gleaming around their necks, and new records inscribed under their names; they carry more than just the weight of victory.
