The Cycling Federation of Nigeria (CFN) has suspended Edo State coach, Jackson Iyobosa Edobor, from further participation in the 2025 National Sports Festival (NSF), tagged ‘Gateway Games 2024‘, over unruly conduct.
In a suspension letter signed by CFN Secretary General, Joel Akinluwa, Coach Edobor was barred from attending any cycling competitions or visiting the cycling venue “with immediate effect” due to his “unacceptable behaviour” during the cycling event on May 21, 2025, in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

“The behaviour not only brought shame to yourself and your team, but it also compromised the integrity of the event,” the CFN stated.
As a condition for any possible reinstatement, the CFN directed Coach Edobor to submit a formal apology letter acknowledging his misconduct and pledging not to repeat such behaviour. The letter must be submitted within 48 hours, or he may face further disciplinary action.
The federation also emphasised its commitment to upholding discipline and professionalism at all levels of competition.
