Chelsea are reportedly preparing a fresh move for long-term target Victor Osimhen as they look to bolster their attacking options ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Nigerian striker, currently on loan at Galatasaray, remains firmly on the radar at Stamford Bridge, with sources close to the club revealing that a move for the 26-year-old is not being ruled out.
Chelsea’s recruitment policy under the Todd Boehly-Clearlake Capital regime has revolved around signing young, high-potential talents, and Osimhen, despite missing out last summer, continues to fit that profile.

The Blues made a serious push to sign the prolific forward from Napoli last summer, but talks fell through due to the player’s wage demands, which were deemed excessive by the Chelsea hierarchy.
Instead, Osimhen joined Galatasaray on a season-long loan, where he has exploded in form, netting 36 goals across all competitions and helping the Turkish giants clinch their record 24th league title.
Yet, Osimhen’s Premier League dream remains very much alive. Back in March 2023, he made it clear:
“A lot of people worldwide consider the Premier League the best and strongest league. I am working really hard to achieve my dream of playing there one day.”
Chelsea’s interest is rekindled at a time when they are in search of elite competition and cover for Nicolas Jackson, and Osimhen’s name remains near the top of the shortlist. While the club is also monitoring younger and potentially less expensive options, the quality and readiness of Osimhen make him an appealing proposition.
Should Chelsea return with a structured offer that meets both Napoli’s valuation and Osimhen’s personal terms, the Premier League dream he once spoke of could finally become a reality this time in blue.
