…Dikwa, Gajiram attacked after Marte assault in less than 24hours
No fewer than five soldiers were killed and six others severely injured when Islamic State of West African Province terrorists continued their onslaught and attacked another military formation in Kala-Balge Local Government Areas of Borno State, on Tuesday.
it was gathered that the attackers used drone to lunch attack on the 3 Battalion, a military formation in Rann, headquarters of Kalabalge Local Government Area in Borno State at midnight.

The source said,”We are seriously in the state of confusion, last month we some of our people to landmines attacks, this fresh attack occurred at 12:00 a.m. Tuesday, five soldier lost thier lives and six other sustained critical wounds.
Babagana Modu, a resident applauded the military for their gallantry, noting the terrorists looted the military outpost with heavy-duty weapon of mass destruction causing the troops to tactical maneuver.
“The soldiers displayed bravery but the terrorists outnumbered our troops. They reportedly went away with three guntrucks and caches of ammunition before leaving the base,”Modu said.
Meanwhile, the ISWAP fighters also stormed Gajiram fortunately the gallant troops thwarted the attempts overrun the base on Monday night.
It was also learnt that Troops of the Nigerian Army, in collaboration with Civilian Joint Task Force and hunters, have repelled a deadly attack on Dikwa, a Local Government Area of Borno State on Tuesday.

It would be recalled that ISWAP terrorists attacks military formation at new Marte where four soldiers were killed and unspecified numbers are still missing after the invasion.
Although, Governor, Babagana Zulum, has strongly condemned the recent spate of attacks by Boko Haram and ISWAP in various parts of the state, including Maiduguri-Damboa Road, Marte, Chibok, Gwoza, Kala Balge, and other affected communities.

He assured, “This is a partial eclipse — and we shall overcome it, Insha Allah,” the Governor assured.
