Liverpool are reportedly preparing a €60 million offer to sign Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman from Atalanta in what could be a major attacking reinforcement ahead of the summer transfer window.
According to Italian outlet Quotidiano Sportivo, the Reds are ready to part ways with underperforming striker Darwin Nunez and bring in Ademola Lookman as part of a wider strategy to bolster their squad under new manager Arne Slot.
Despite comfortably winning the Premier League this season, Liverpool are not resting on their laurels and are actively seeking upgrades, particularly in attack and at right-back, with Trent Alexander-Arnold announcing his decision to leave the club.

Ademola Lookman has enjoyed a sensational rise since his move to Atalanta from RB Leipzig. The former Everton winger has flourished in Serie A, demonstrating both goal-scoring prowess and creative flair.
So far this season, the 27-year-old Super Eagles forward has scored 20 goals and provided seven assists in 39 appearances across all competitions.
Capable of operating on either wing or centrally, Lookman offers the kind of tactical versatility and depth that Liverpool are seeking in the final third.
The Merseyside giants had shown interest in him during the January window, but Atalanta were reluctant to sell mid-season.
Atalanta have now reportedly placed a firm €60 million price tag on Lookman, as they brace for renewed interest in the summer.
One potential avenue for Liverpool to facilitate the deal could involve offering Federico Chiesa as part of a swap agreement, which would help reduce the cash outlay required for Arne Slot’s team.
