Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has vowed that the club will come back stronger following their heartbreaking Champions League semi-final exit at the hands of Inter Milan.
The Catalan giants were eliminated after a dramatic 4-3 second-leg defeat at San Siro, with the tie ending 7-6 on aggregate in favour of the Italian side after two pulsating encounters.
Flick, in his debut season in charge, had hoped to lead Barça to a historic quadruple, but the European dream ended painfully.

“I’m proud of my team; we gave everything, and sometimes it’s like that,” Flick told reporters after the game.
“We have to accept it, and we start again next season. To win the Champions League is one of our goals… We will be back next season.”
Despite the European setback, Barcelona still have silverware within reach. Flick’s side has already claimed the Spanish Super Cup and Copa del Rey and remains favourites for a domestic treble.
They now shift attention to Sunday’s El Clásico against Real Madrid, a crucial La Liga fixture where Barça will aim to extend their four-point lead over their arch-rivals at the summit.
“And of course, La Liga, it will also be a tough match on Sunday, but we will give everything,” added Flick.
“When the players look in the mirror when they arrive home, I think they can be very proud.”
