The wife of the President, Oluremi Tinubu, will on Thursday and Friday in Ondo State, flag off the distribution of professional kits to 10,000 nurses and midwives across the Southwest, aiming at enhancing vitality in Nigeria.
BusinessDay reports that the development is part of the Renewed Hope Initiative of President Bola Tinubu to improve healthcare delivery in Nigeria.
Seun Osamaye, the Special Adviser to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa on Women Affairs and Mobilization, who disclosed this at a press conference in Akure, therefore, expressed Ondo State’s readiness to host the first lady, Oluremi Tinubu.
According to her, the second programme is specifically for women in textile production and 200 will benefit from it.
She noted that the initiatives portray that Tinubu’s impactful interventions across the country are significant for the progress of our nation.
Osamaye opined that Ondo state have benefitted from several of Tinubu’s interventions, which range from the educational support programme, scholarship to students with disability.
She said; “we also have the educational support programme, where students are given cash and help allowance. We also have the Women in Cultural Support Programme empowerment and also the Youth Empowerment Programme, where women are privileged to benefit from this intervention.
“At least over 1,000 have benefited from cash grants, training and cash grants. And also, some of our young students in secondary schools have been inculcated into the young farmers’ club. And also, some of our youth in primary schools have been inculcated into the young farmers’ club”.
“Whether you are an indigent or you are a resident of a state, you are entitled automatically to benefit from this government. And so far, that’s what we’ve been doing, and that’s what we’ll continue to do. So there is no political affiliation in the distribution. What is important is that we have been able to identify several segments of our women, especially those in textile production.
“This government is one that people don’t stress themselves to get what they desire. It is not an abusive government.
“The Leadership of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa is deliberate in paying attention to the security of the lives of the people. I can assure you that as we speak, the state is secured and sustained based on Her Excellency.
“The government is in charge and is in control. So by God’s grace, our programme will go on smoothly and everything will go fine.”
