Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State has launched the State Open Government Partnership Action Plan II in the State.
The launch was held on Wednesday in collaboration with the United Nations Children’s Education Fund (UNICEF).
The programme, which drew participants from Ministries, Development Agencies, Private Sectors, Civil Society Organisations, and the Media, was officially launched in the State during the administration of imemdiate past Governor Willie Obiano.

Declaring the event open, Govenror Soludo reiterated that his administration is fully committed to partnering with relevant Agencies and Civil Society organisations to deliver transparent and accountable governance for the benefit of the people of the state.
Governor Soludo, who was represented at the event by Chiamaka Nanke, Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Chiamaka Nanke, informed participants that his vision of making Anambra a destination point in Nigeria could only be achieved through their effective collaboration.
He commended UNICEF for the continued support to his administration.

Earlier, Ogochukwu Orji, the State OGP Focal Person, outlined the processes undertaken to realise the dream of establishing the OGP action plan in Anambra, commending Governor Soludo for supporting the programme in the State.
Atthawood Op-Sankharat, the representative of UNICEF in the South East region, noted that the selection of Anambra was significant because the State is synonymous with reforms. He praised the governor for providing an enabling environment for the programme in the State.
