The two term House of Representatives member, representing Owo/Ose Federal Constituency, Timehin Adelegbe, on Monday said he has distributed over 100,000 of improved cocoa seedlings to farmers in his constituents.
Adelegbe, who disclosed this at a press briefing, held at the Ondo NUJ Secretariat, Akure, said the distribution was to boost cocoa production in the state.

He disclosed several completed and ongoing projects, including school renovations, skill acquisition centers, and bursary awards for students.
Speaking on the economic empowerment, Adelegbe disclosed that thousands of market women, youths, and artisans have received financial aid, work tools, and business grants to boost economic activities.
Infrastructure projects such as road grading, bridge construction, and solar-powered streetlights have also been executed across several communities.
“My commitment to infrastructural developments, poverty alleviation, skill acquisition, mega empowerment programmes, sports development, educational support through bursary award to students, construction of block of classrooms, renovation of schools, financial aid to market women and men is one that can be attested to by the good people of Owo and Ose,†Adelegbe said.

The lawmaker further highlighted progress in sports and healthcare, with the ongoing construction of stadiums, a diagnostic center, and a new health facility. He assured constituents that all ongoing projects would be completed while new ones would be initiated to ensure no community was left behind.
Adelegbe, therefore, expressed gratitude to the people of Owo and Ose for their continued trust and support, pledging to remain committed to delivering more dividends of democracy in line with his campaign promise.
