The 40-year-old Nigerian boxer was competing against John Mbagunu, known as “Power”, at the Bukom Boxing Arena on Saturday, March 29, 2025, when he suddenly collapsed in the ring. He continued his winning streak at GOtv Boxing Night 22 and 23, defeating Timothy “Nsiefinagajie” Gonze and Fatai “Hit Man” Balogun, respectively.
He secured further victories against David “Awosika Cosmos” and Victor Bennett at GOtv Boxing Night 24 and 25.
He lost the Vacant WBA Asia super-middleweight title against Russian Ibragim Estemirov in Moscow, Russia.
