Nigeria’s employment market has received a new boost as HBG Technologies officially unveiled i-Serv App to advance job creation for artisans in the country.
According to the company, the new digital platform is designed to streamline service delivery and create job opportunities for artisans.
Speaking at the private launch of i-Serv App in Lagos, Ayodele Olawande, minister of Youth Development said the App is a tool for economic empowerment, particularly for young Nigerians seeking sustainable income opportunities.
Olawande described i-Serv as not just an app but a movement. That is strategically positioned to lead the service marketplace, providing young Nigerians with opportunities beyond borders.
“This platform showcases the sportsmanship of our youth, driving digital and financial inclusion while creating jobs at scale,” he said.
Michael Olamide, lead of HBG Technologies said that the app connects users with skilled professionals, including electricians, plumbers, chefs, barbers, and makeup artists, through a seamless digital interface.
Olamide, an IT specialist with over 15 years of experience in global technology firms, including Amazon Web Services said that by offering a verified database of service providers, the platform aims to eliminate the common challenges of finding reliable artisans in cities like Lagos.

According to him, the App is expected to boost economic growth by providing a structured, technology-driven alternative to the informal service sector, allowing artisans to secure jobs efficiently while giving consumers easy access to vetted professionals.
“It offers more than just job listings, as the i-Serv Academy, an extension of the platform, provides training, mentorship, and skill development programmes to help artisans improve their expertise and compete on a broader scale,” he said.
The app is now available for download, promising to offer service providers and consumers a more reliable, efficient, and professional experience.
