Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has urged Nigerians to unite and support the new movement aimed at removing the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to bring the desired change in the 2027 elections.
Addressing the crowd at a reception held in his honor in Yola, Adamawa State, Atiku called on his supporters to unite in order to restore the country’s path to progress. He emphasised the need for a collective effort to challenge the status quo and rebuild a more inclusive and prosperous Nigeria.
“The future of our nation depends on our ability to come together and take decisive action,” Atiku told the crowd. “It is time to bring change, and together, we can make that change happen.”
He also used the opportunity to highlight the challenges facing the country under the current administration, particularly with regard to governance, security, and the economy.

Stressing that the ruling APC has failed to meet the needs of Nigerians and has instead pursued policies that have only deepened the nation’s struggles. “The people of Nigeria deserve better leadership—leadership that is accountable and works for the people, not just for political elites,” Atiku added.
The former Vice President also commended Elisha Ishaku Abbo, ex senator, for organising the event and praised his dedication to the cause. Atiku urged Abbo and other leaders to continue organising such meetings, which he believes will be instrumental in building momentum for the movement in the years leading up to the 2027 elections.
Earlier in the event, Abbo expressed his group’s unwavering loyalty to Atiku, assuring the former Vice President that the members were fully committed to following his political ideology. He stressed that the movement was not only about Atiku, but about bringing change to the entire political system and creating a government that truly represents the people’s will.
“We stand with Atiku because he has always championed the cause of the Nigerian people,” Senator Abbo declared. “Our mission is clear: to restore hope, to challenge the corrupt practices of the current administration, and to ensure that Nigerians get the leadership they deserve.”
Many in the stakeholders gathering reaffirmed their support readiness to actively participate in the movement come 2027 elections. The former Vice President’s call for unity resonated deeply with the attendees, who left the meeting more determined than ever to work toward a better Nigeria.
