As part of efforts to provide its customers with world-class mobile and personal computing solutions, Samsung Electronics West Africa (SEWA) in strategic partnership with Rifugio Communications, an accredited local partner, has stepped up its nationwide retail market expansion drive in Nigeria, with the opening of another direct-to-market store in Lagos. Located in Lekki, and aptly dubbed the Samsung Experience Store, the new retail outlet provides consumers with an exciting avenue to experience and interact with the technology company’s line up of products in a standalone location. Prominent gadgets on display at the store include the recently launched Galaxy S6 edge and S6 duos, all of which come with a 24-month warranty. The retail stores also boast a dedicated ‘Free level one service’ which gives customers the opportunity to download and install applications and software upgrades. Speaking at the official opening of the Lekki store, weekend, Emmanouil Revmatas, director, Information Technology (IT) at SEWA, said the Samsung Experience Store (SES) was developed primarily for Nigerians to explore and interact with Samsung hand held products like mobile phones, tablets and smartphones, cameras and premium Personal Computers (PCs). “There has been a remarkable growth in modern retail.

“Customers are demanding a real customer experience. We are focusing on creating a retail store that gives customers a real experience. We will continue to grow our retail expansion through our partners. We can only continue to churn out best-in-class stores like this one through collaboration”, said Revmatas. In the same vein, Kayode Thomas, chairman, Rifugio Communications, a SES dealer, said the SES is designed to provide customers with expert, first-hand advice on products and services that may benefit them personally or benefit their business. “You have a two-year warranty on any product that you purchase. “If you are looking for genuine products, spare, accessories, after sales support services, maintenance and repairs, this is the place to come to”, he explained. According to him, the store is also launching a ‘trade-in’ program specifically designed to enable customers in the country exchange their old phones for brand new ones. The trade-in program also seeks to fulfill customers desire to own state-of-the-art phones and devices at affordable prices. “You come with any device; it does not have to be a Samsung device. It can be any model of device. We value it and if you are happy with the valuation, you pick a new device and pay the difference. You can walk out with a new phone”, stated Thomas.

With its broad product offering, the SES provides consumers with a premium experience, showcasing Samsung’s technology leadership and enabling consumers to experience firsthand the power of sharing content across multiple products. Samsung Electronics Company Limited inspires the world and shapes the future with transformative ideas and technologies, redefining the worlds of TVs, smartphones, wearable devices, tablets, cameras, digital appliances, printers, medical equipment, network systems, and semiconductor and LED solutions.
