Cold Stone Creamery Nigeria, a member of Eat N’ Go restaurant group, continued its push to become the nation’s first choice creamery when it opened its 13th store in Nigeria with a series of events packed with loads of give-aways and fun activities for customers and friends of the brand.
The grand opening of the latest Cold Stone Creamery store at the Ikeja City Mall, which lasted three days, from April 17 – 19, saw the creamery give away mouth-watering offers to its growing customers.
The first day of the event was a crowd puller as old and new customers of the brand came out in their numbers to take advantage of the 50 percent discount offer on the “Love It” size signature ice cream. This gave customers an opportunity to try out a variety of ice creams and mix-in combinations called signature creations.
According to Uzoelum Chukwunalu, the operations manager, CSC Nigeria, these signature creations are 20 in number and are tried and true with recipes from Cold Stone’s international taste master himself, Raymond Karam, to give customers the “ultimate ice cream experience.”
On the second day, early birds were at the store more than an hour before the store opened on a long queue waiting to be among the first 50 people so as to benefit from the brand’s promise to give free ice cream for the rest of the year to the first 50 people to make an ice cream purchase that day.
According to the management, this initiative was adopted in place of their regular ribbon cutting event in order to be able to give back to their customers and welcome new ones in grand style. “We decided to go the experiential way this time; because in the end, we are all about our customers and the kind of experience they have in our stores,” it said.
Speaking on the sidelines on the second day of the event, Timilehin Lajubutu, marketing coordinator for Cold Stone Creamery Nigeria, said the Cold Store brand was currently rated as a leading name among dairy products and creamery in Nigeria as its various stores aim to replicate the total experience customers of Cold Stone in America crave in its various offerings.
Eat N’ Go, whose mission to become the premier food operator in Africa, are the operators of Domino’s Pizza and Cold Stone Creamery in Nigeria.
Cold Stone Creamery was officially launched in September 2012, and has since opened stores in cities like Ibadan, Enugu and Lagos; the Ikeja City Mall store makes it 13 in all and the ninth in Lagos.
