The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State has won three House of Representatives’ seats while the All Progressives Congress (APC) has picked one.
According to the electoral officer in Esan West/Esan Central/Igueben federal constituency, Joe Edionwele of the PDP polled a total of 36,045 to defeat his APC opponent, Gideon Obhakha, who scored 23,825 votes. Sergius Ogun of the PDP defeated his APC counterpart to clinch Esan North-East/Esan South- East federal seat. He scored 33,691 as against 14,000 polled by Irabor Onikolease.
The two federal seats are in Edo Central Senatoria District. In Egor/Ikpoba Okha federal constituency, Johnson Ehiozuwa Agbonayinma won the seat with 48,883 as against APC candidate, Paul Ohonbamu, who polled 38,815.
Phillip Shaibu, APC candidate for Etsako federal seat defeated PDP candidate, Abass Braimah, with 42, 019 votes. The PDP candidate scored 29,941.
