The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has alleged that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is planning to use an illegal radio station to announce a parallel government and cause destabilisation when it loses the March 28 presidential election.
The PDP therefore, called on security agencies to arrest the alleged radio operator, former Ambassador of Spain, Mamman Yusuf as well as the question of former Governors Kayode Fayemi, Bola Tinubu; Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi and the APC Presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari on the operation the radio station, which it named as ‘APC radio’.
The director, media and publicity, PDP Presidential Campaign Organisation, Femi Fani-Kayode, also accused the APC of perfecting a documentary at the costing $2 million to discredit President Goodluck Jonathan.
Fani-Kayode, who blasted the APC for fabricating lies however alleged that sources within Buhari and APC camp have revealed that the APC presidential candidate, was in a fix over the revelations on Tinubu’s wealth and has resolved that should he win the election, to give Tinubu an ultimatum to forfeit 50 percent of his wealth or face the law.
Addressing a press conference in Abuja on Wednesday, Fani-Kayode said: “Our attention had been drawn to the existence of an illegal Radio station called ‘’APC RADIO’’ or ‘’RADIO CHANJI’’. This radio station has been broadcasting falsehood, propaganda and inciting comments periodically over the last few days and since inception.
“We seize this opportunity to call on the National Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) to set its house in order while ensuring that its rules are followed. We call on them to use all means available to stop this illegal radio station from operating and if necessary to block its illegal transmissions.”
