Diamond Bank plc has set aside N600m for customers reward in the Season 7 of the DiamondXtra Reward Scheme.
DiamondXtra Account is a special savings account designed for individuals who want to build up their savings gradually. It is an interest-yielding savings account which allows the deposit of both cash and third party cheques.
In addition, the account holders receive a cheque book and a debit card with which they can withdraw from their account at any Diamond Bank branch. It is also a savings account that comes with a low minimum opening amount of N5,000 with the opportunity to win fantastic prizes.
Since the inception of the DiamondXtra reward scheme seven years ago, over N4bn has been given away to over 4,000 customers.
According to Uzoma Dozie, group managing director, Diamond Bank plc, the new DiamondXtra Season 7 is unique and will accommodate more stakeholders as the bank has introduced special draws for the Diamond woman.

He said during the launching of the season 7: “In this Season 7, DiamondXtra Customers will have another reason to smile as a total of 1,439 customers will win various cash prizes. Prizes will range from N250,000 to N2,000,000 cash prizes plus the star prize of “Salary for Life”. Salary for Life is a unique prize of the DiamondXtra account which the Bank pays the sum of N100,000 to a lucky customer every month for 20 years.”
Speaking further on the reward scheme, Aishah Ahmad, head, Retail Financial Services, Diamond Bank plc, explained that in addition to the regular weekly and monthly draws, there will also be three special draws this season to commemorate special events as determined by the bank. In each of the special draws, 25 customers will be rewarded with N1m each.
She said to celebrate the launch of Season 7, special draw was organised at the launching venue on Victoria Island Lagos last weekend where 25 of the bank customers won N1m each.
“The most exciting thing about the DiamondXtra reward scheme is that everybody has a chance of winning as all you need to do to qualify for the draws is to have a minimum balance of N5,000 in your DiamondXtra account” Ahmad said.
The draws are conducted through an electronic process approved by the National Lottery & Regulatory Commission and the Consumer Protection Council and which is also verified by the renowned auditing firm, KPMG Professional Services. Every N5,000 deposited increases the customer’s chances of winning as the winning tickets are chosen by an electronic draw.
