Dukka, has announced the resumption of its DIP Fellowship to groom young Nigerian engineers and human resource enthusiasts. The DIP Fellowship encompasses a program for Software Engineering and a new initative tagged ‘People and Culture.’
The paid internship programme is targeted at solving Nigeria’s skills gap challenge, which is one of the biggest issues facing the Nigerian market. The software engineering fellowship is geared towards entry-level talents seeking to pursue software engineering career in technology.
This year, the DIP fellowship expanded to accommodate ‘People and Culture’ in line with national demands and reality of the times. The program aims to instill strong orgnisational culture to young Nigerians who plan to pursue their careers in the engineering and ICT sectors to enable them adapt to evolving business cultures.
Keturah Ovio, founder and CEO of Dukka, “As a company that prides itself in its astounding work culture, we are certain about our decision to add a program that teaches young talents how to build the same.”

Ovio further explained that Dukka, which offers digital bookkeeping and payment solutions for today and tomorrow’s African merchants, is interested in skilling up young Nigerians to enable organisations find the much-needed talent locally, rather than seek same from other climes.
“Our vision is to ensure that we help to groom local talents that will feed and enable our ecosystem in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) find their talents here,” she said in a statement.
In this cohort, the fellowship will be accepting applications for both programs and it expects applications from suitably qualified candidates.
According to the statement, the competitive and paid graduate internship program will imbibe best-in-class mastery, character, interpersonal skills and work ethics the Dukka way to groom the next generation of African talents and enable them to thrive in today’s workplace, Ovio added.

Dukka had, earlier this year, announced the launch of its graduate internship program- DIP Fellowship.
