Ahead of plans by Medview airline to commence direct flights to Saudi Arabia, the company during the week, opened a regional office in Jeddah with a ceremony led by Ahmed Umar, Nigeria’s consular general to the Kingdom.
Umar expressed joy that Nigerians suffering was being alleviated as direct flight of only four hours would soon replace long hours of journey. He also expressed the hope that the operations would server to foster better relations between Nigeria and Saudi Arabia.
Also speaking, Munier Bankole, managing director of Medview airlines, disclosed that the company had secured licenses to operate four weekly flights from Nigeria (Abuja and Kano) adding that it has also got the approval to fly passengers to Dubai.
Meanwhile, these operations are expected to start November 2014.
