About 15 persons have been reportedly arrested at Lekki area of Lagos State during the endsars protest against police brutality.
According to the Lagos State Police Command, some of those arrested are discovered to be suspected homosexuals after police searched through their phones they found pornographic videos and nude pictures of them and other girls. However, the suspects denied having such pictures and videos on their phones. Some of the girls claim the police allegedly frame them up.

Meanwhile, one of the suspects, Fisayo Oye admitted to the pictures and videos. She said it was her spiritual challenge. According to her, she found herself doing it even when she didn’t want to. She confessed some of her bisexual partners are Ms. Anthonia, Bolanle Soremi, Tolu Aderonbi and others. Another of the arrested women, Iyabo Ibukun also confessed to being in a relationship with Kehinde Fayemi, Kemi Osho.
According to the Lagos State Police Command, some of the mentioned names are being invited for questioning, while some others have fled abroad.
The police, however, reiterated Nigeria’s commitment to ensuring LGBT, are flushed out and made to face the wrath of the law.
It might interest you to know that, in Nigeria, the law criminalizes public shows of same-sex ‘amorous’ relationships. As in many conservative African societies, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or intersex (LGBTI) people face significant legal and societal discrimination and public condemnation.
The law against same-sex relationships was signed in 2014 by former President Goodluck Jonathan.
